Gift for Life Block Walk Sisters Network Solano County will host their annual Gift for Life Block Walk educational outreach initative. During the month of September, the affliate chapters of Sisters Network Inc. coordinate the promotion of breast health awareness in the African American community. This innovative program allows breast cancer survivors and volunteers to canvas door-todoor in special population areas to distribute breast health information , a resource list, and pink ribbons.

California Coastal Clean Up

Every third Saturday in September, thousands of Californians go in search of those trash to clean up and have a ball doing it. Volunteers can register early and be given a clean up site or drop by the Vallejo Marina that day and be assigned to a site then. After the clean up, participants are invitied back to the marina for a free lunch provided by the Girl Scouts.
