The Scenic Limited takes visitors on a 6 mile round trip ride on the old Sacramento Northern Railway, south from Highway 12. The trip lasts about an hour and docents are on board to point out the native wildflowers that cover the rolling hills and fields. The views often change weekly depending on the delicate balance of moisture and sunshine. Museum admission gets you a coach ticket, but for $5 extra, you can ride First Class and enjoy cookies and lemonade served by uniformed attendants.
